Processing capability
Recovery is a metallurgical problem before it is a logistics one. The value in a filtercake or a plasma dust is only realised if the metal content is identified accurately and separated cleanly.

Fine to coarse
Metallurgical and metal-powder processing experience covering material from extremely fine metallic dusts and powders through to coarse solids and turnings.
Sorted and segregated
Arisings are 100% sorted and segregated so that alloy content is recovered at its true specification rather than downgraded into a mixed stream.
Certified output
Processed material is certified before it is sold to end customers to be melted back into its parent alloy as air-melt or vacuum grade product.

Recovery process
How material moves through IMS.

Source
Material is collected as arisings from petrochemical, oil & gas, industrial gas turbine and aerospace operations, alongside our international supply network.
Step 02 of 06
Inspect
Incoming loads are sampled and booked in. Feed stock is checked against the declared specification before it enters the process.

Step 03 of 06
Sort
Arisings are sorted and segregated by alloy family and grade, so that material is never downgraded by being mixed with a lower specification.

Process
Streams are processed into a saleable form — from coarse solids through to extremely fine metallic dusts and powders.

Certify
Our metallurgical laboratory analyses production and issues the certification that accompanies the material to the customer.

Supply
Certified material is supplied to end customers worldwide to be melted back into its parent alloy as either air-melt or vacuum grade product.
